Product Spotlight: High-Performance PP+EPDM-Talc 20 Modified Polypropylene (Blue-Black)
1. Product Positioning
This grade is a high-performance, mineral-filled, and impact-modified polypropylene (PP) compound. It is reinforced with 20% fine talc (T20) for structural rigidity and toughened with EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) elastomer for superior shock absorption. The distinct Blue-black formulation is specifically engineered for automotive and industrial components that require a premium dark aesthetic combined with exceptional mechanical durability.
2. Core Value Propositions
Balanced Rigidity & Toughness: The 20% talc reinforcement provides excellent flexural modulus and dimensional stability, while the EPDM matrix ensures high impact resistance at both ambient and sub-zero temperatures.
Low Shrinkage & Precision: The inclusion of talc significantly reduces molding shrinkage, minimizing warpage in large-scale parts and ensuring precise fitment in complex assemblies.
Premium Aesthetic Finish: The specialized blue-black pigment offers a deep, uniform color with excellent surface gloss and scratch resistance, often eliminating the need for secondary painting.
Superior Weatherability: Formulated with high-efficiency UV stabilizers, this material is resistant to chalking, fading, and degradation under prolonged outdoor exposure.
Excellent Processability: Optimized melt flow rate allows for the production of large, thin-walled parts with shorter cycle times and high production efficiency.

Why: Blue-black is ideal for underbody and trim parts; EPDM ensures safety by absorbing energy during minor impacts.
🛵 Transportation & Powersports:
Components: Motorcycle fenders, ATV fairings, and electric scooter body panels.
Why: High impact resistance and UV protection for harsh outdoor environments.
⚙️ Industrial & Engineering Parts:
Components: Air conditioner outdoor unit bases, pump housings, and garden tool enclosures.
Why: Mineral filling enhances heat resistance and structural integrity under constant sun and rain.
🏠 Large Home Appliances:
Components: Washing machine bases, vacuum cleaner housings, and dishwasher structural components.
Why: Chemical stability and high resistance to vibration fatigue.
5. Processing Guide
Pre-drying: Although PP has low moisture absorption, the talc filler can hold surface moisture. Drying at 80°C for 2 hours is recommended to prevent surface silver streaks.
Melt Temperature: Recommended range is 200°C - 230°C. Avoid excessive heat to prevent material degradation or color shifts.
Mold Temperature: 40°C - 60°C. Proper mold temperature improves surface finish and reduces internal stress.
Injection Pressure: Use moderate to high pressure to ensure full filling, with appropriate holding pressure to prevent sink marks.
