1. Product Overview

PC/ABS HF1210 is a high-performance thermoplastic alloy blending Polycarbonate (PC) and Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS). This grade is specifically engineered with an advanced phosphorus-based halogen-free flame retardant system, ensuring full compliance with global environmental regulations such as RoHS and REACH while achieving a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating.

The "HF" (High Flow) designation signifies its exceptional melt processability. HF1210 is designed for injection molding of large-scale or thin-walled complex parts, allowing for lower injection pressures, reduced internal stress, and shorter cycle times.

5. Processing Recommendations

  • Drying: PC/ABS is hygroscopic. Dry at 90-100°C for 3-4 hours. Ensure moisture content is below 0.02% to prevent hydrolysis.

  • Melt Temperature: 240°C - 270°C.

  • Mold Temperature: 60°C - 90°C. Higher mold temperatures improve surface gloss and reduce molded-in stress.

  • Back Pressure: Keep back pressure low to avoid degradation of the flame retardant additives caused by high shear.
