Three production regions

Pearl River Delta — Dongguan, Shenzhen, Foshan: the most complete appliance and electronics supply chain, fast tooling, colour matching and testing, strong small-batch flexibility; suited to customers changing colour and formulation often.

Yangtze Delta — Shanghai, Suzhou, Ningbo: dense technical and R&D resources, deep OEM project experience, full documentation including IATF 16949 and IMDS; suited to automotive supply chains.

Shandong — Qingdao, Yantai: close to petrochemical feedstock and ports, giving clear advantages in raw material and logistics cost, with convenient shipping to Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia; compounding capacity has expanded rapidly.

What exporters should weigh

First, delivery. Proximity to port means shorter booking lead times and lower inland freight. Qingdao sailings to major Southeast Asian ports are competitive, and Japan routes are very mature.

Second, technical response: in-house laboratory, ability to issue COA and full property reports, and compliance documentation such as IMDS, REACH and RoHS.

Third, stability: MFR and ash content across at least three consecutive lots speaks louder than promises.

A practical suggestion

Do not judge from quotations alone. Place a small trial order and send samples to a third-party lab at the same time.

Comparing appearance, properties and lot consistency under identical conditions usually reveals the real gap within two or three cycles.
