What is PPTD20?
PPTD20 is a polypropylene(PP)-based material reinforced with 20% talc mineral filler. "PP"=polypropylene, "T"=talc, "D20"=20% talc content. PPTD20 widely used in automotive parts and appliance housings.
PPTD20 Material Parameters
Density 1.04-1.06 g/cm³, tensile strength 25-35 MPa, flexural modulus 2500-3500 MPa, Izod impact 3-8 kJ/m², HDT(1.82MPa) 90-110°C, mold shrinkage 0.8%-1.2%, MFR 8-20 g/10min.
PPTD20 Material Properties
Flexural modulus 150%-200% higher than pure PP, HDT 20-30°C higher, shrinkage reduced to 0.8%-1.2%. Ideal for automotive interior parts, instrument panel frames, and appliance shells.
PPTD20 Pellet Porosity
Micropores in PPTD20 pellets are common due to talc filler affecting melt viscosity. Minor porosity usually doesn't affect performance. Excessive pores may cause surface defects in injection-molded parts.
