Reinforced PA6: Properties, Injection Molding, Applications and Pricing
What is Reinforced PA6?
Reinforced PA6 is PA6 resin modified with glass fiber. PA6+GF30 is the most common grade. It offers significantly improved strength, rigidity and heat resistance while retaining nylon's wear and chemical resistance.
Key Properties (30% GF)
Tensile strength 160-180 MPa, flexural modulus 8000-9000 MPa, HDT(1.82MPa) 200-215°C, melting point 220-225°C, mold shrinkage 0.3%-0.6%.
Applications
Automotive: engine covers, radiator fans, intake manifolds. Power tools: drill housings. Electronics: connectors, coil bobbins. Mechanical: gears, bearing retainers.
Injection Molding Temperature
Barrel 230-270°C, mold 80-100°C. Drying: moisture <0.15%, 80-90°C/4-6h.
Pricing
PA6+GF30 ~$2.5-3.5/kg. PA66+GF30 ~$3.9-5.3/kg. Factory-direct pricing can reduce costs by 10%-20%.
English Terminology
