PPTD20 is a thermoplastic material modified by adding 20% talc filler to a polypropylene (PP) matrix. Due to its excellent rigidity and dimensional stability, it is widely used in injection molding applications such as automotive interior parts and home appliance housings.

Recommended PPTD20 Injection Temperature Range

Rear zone (feed section): 190°C-210°C. Middle zone (compression section): 210°C-230°C. Front zone (metering section): 220°C-240°C. Nozzle temperature: 220°C-235°C. Mold temperature is recommended to be controlled between 40°C-80°C.

What Is the Shrinkage Rate of PPTD20?

Due to the addition of 20% talc, the shrinkage rate of PPTD20 is significantly reduced compared to pure polypropylene. Pure PP shrinkage is 1.5%-2.5%, while PPTD20 shrinkage is typically 0.8%-1.2%. For wall thickness 1.5mm-3.0mm, typical values are 1.0%-1.1% (flow direction) and 1.2%-1.5% (transverse direction).
